CPRC 1: Pinkie Pie's sister

My very first entry to this challenge is another sister for Pinkie Pie. Yes, a fourth sister would be a bit of a stretch already, but why not? She has a twin sister after all.


Her name is Citrine Lemon Pie, but most ponies call her Lemon Pie. She's about the age of the Cutie Mark Crusaders and is the only one in the family who hasn't earned their cutie mark yet. She's kind of glum about it, thinking there's only so little you can do in the rock farm. She wants to explore more, but she can't manage a life out of the rock farm that well yet. However, she's been to Ponyville for a few times already courtesy of her sister Pinkie, and had met the Apples already. She finds Apple Bloom's enthusiasm a bit too much, but she appreciates her cousin wanting to help her get her mark.

Lemon is a pessimist. Unlike her sister, she usually sees the bad side of things. It's mostly because of her misfortunes when she was younger--one of them involving tree branches, and it's also the reason why she cut her tail shorter. Trouble always seems to find her, so she's usually very careful with her actions.


Lemon was born after Pinkie left the rock farm, so she knows her the least. That still doesn't hinder them from being on good terms, however. Pinkie always tries to cheer up her gloomy sister and "looking at the fun angle of things". Despite them being contrasts of each other, Lemon favors Pinkie the most--aside from Maud--and hopes that one day, she'll have a really interesting job and talent, too. Also, Pinkie taught her how to bake.

With the Apples, she's relatively closest to Apple Bloom, being only several moons younger than her. She appreciates Bloom's efforts in helping her get her mark, but sometimes she'd rather not. She likes Bloom's friends, though.

She hasn't met the mane six that much yet, aside from when she went to Ponyville and Pinkie Pie introduced her, but she thinks they're amazing for being so talented and for saving Equestria's flank a bunch of times against villains. From what she knows, she likes Fluttershy the most. Aside from the shy pony reminding her of her own sister, Fluttershy has that "charm" and a warm smile.


Since her family's palette mostly consists of dull colors, Lemon is no exception. I saw that the Pie sisters are green, blue, purple and pink, so instead of continuing the palette to red, I went to yellow instead. It also makes sense in a way that her father is brown, and her bearing some resemblance to Applejack also helps with the whole "cousins" topic. Her highlights also came from her father, as I've noticed the other sisters usually take after their mother.

I have a head canon about how all Pies have two names--aside from the last name "Pie", of course--with the exception of Maud (whose full name I theorize is Maudeline Pie) and Limestone (since hers is a compound name); so I gave Lemon two names, too: a rock, or to be specific, a gem (following the family's theme) and a type of pie (following Maud and Pinkie).
